While the on-site photoshoot is the most visible part of my work, it only accounts for half of the project. The other 50%, the post-production and editing process, is where the real heavy lifting happens. I invest just as much time refining the footage behind the scenes as I do behind the lens to ensure you get the best result.

I can work with natural or ambient light when conditions allow. However, particularly here in the the Dominican Republic, where the sun can be extremely harsh and I often do not have the flexibility to choose the ideal time of day due to hotel operations, the use of supplemental lighting becomes necessary. These lights are then carefully integrated into the image blending process during post-production to achieve a natural, polished final result according the the brands photo guidelines.

This is an image of a Melia Punta Cana hotel room but only with natural light. It has the exterior of the image completely blown out. This is the before image.

This is the before blending of the artificial light and the natural light images. The exterior is over-exposed.

This is the before over exposed image of a Maliá hotel room before the post process.
This is the edited image where professional lights were used and blended with ambient light so to make visible the exterior. With this technique you can now see the details in the exterior, the table on the balcony and the pool.
